The 6 days Bhutan tour itinerary will let you explore across three main districts of western Bhutan. These includes sightseeing and visit to major sites like the Tiger’s nest monastery in Paro, one of the most beautiful places to visit in Bhutan.  In Thimphu, visit to the tallest statue of Buddha in the world. Itinerary

Day 1Arrive Paro – Thimphu Sightseeing (54 Km, 1 Hour Drive):

Your guide and driver will meet you at Paro airport and drive to Thimphu. A short stop to view Tamchog monastery. Then visit memorial chorten and tallest statue of Buddha (51.5 m).

In the afternoon, visit to Changangkha lhakhang, Takin preserve center and Dupthop nunnery.

In the evening, free to stroll in the town for shopping and photography.

Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 2Thimphu Sightseeing:

In the morning, visit to national postal museum, craft bazaar, textile museum, school of 13 arts and crafts (Painting school).

After lunch, visit Simply Bhutan museum.

Afternoon – witness the archery match at Changlimithang stadium.

In the evening, visit Tashichho dzong, the royal secretariat.

Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 3 Thimphu – Punakha Sightseeing (76 Km, 2 Hour Drive):

Punakha is the ancient capital of Bhutan. On the way, visit the beautiful Dochu La Pass (3140 m). Then visit Chimi lhakhang built in 1499 to honor of Drukpa Kuenley. This temple is also called the Temple of Fertility. Drukpa Kuenley is also called the divine madman of Bhutan for his unorthodox way of teaching Buddhism.

In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Punakha dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.

In the evening, hike to the beautiful Khamsum Yulley monastery.

Then walk across the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan (160 meters) built across Pho chu river. It is the longest of its kind in Bhutan.

Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 4Punakha – Wangdue Phodrang – Paro Sightseeing (151 Km, 4 Hour Drive):

In the morning, drive to Paro via Wangdue Phodrang and take a view of the dzong.

Afternoon – Visit Ta dzong (national museum of Bhutan), Rinpung dzong and Bhutanese farmhouse.

Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 5Paro Sightseeing – Hike To The Tiger’s Nest Monastery:

In the morning, drive to Satsam chorten and 2 hour hike till the Tiger’s nest monastery (Paro Taktsang).

Afternoon – visit to Drugyel dzong (The fortress of the victorious Bhutanese). Then visit Kichu lhakhang, one of the oldest monasteries of Bhutan built in 659 AD by Srongtsen Gampo.

Evening – free to stroll in the town.

Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 6Paro – Departure (End Of 6 Days Bhutan Tour Itinerary).
